This has been my go to Mexican spot for years now. I've tried so many items on the menu and I've never been disappointed. My favorites are the beef enchiladas plate, asada fries, barbacoa, potato tacos durados, asada burrito and love their rice and beans!! They also make great aguas.

the food was I been here before, but the food lately is been horrible!!! I order the tostada de ceviche and I got more cucumbers and octopus than anything, no salt, no lemon, the taste was not fresh at all, we also order the 3-Tacos meal it was boiled meat and chicken with a bunch of lettuce and old cheese!!! We are never coming back again, the STAFF is rude especially the OWNER!!! And the prices have gone up, it was not worth a penny!
Update: got food poising from that tostada! -

Don't let the outside fool you! If you judge this book by its cover you'll be missing out on some of the most authentic Mexican quinine at affordable prices Highland Park has to offer.
Came here with my family on 4th of July. I ordered a steak quesadilla and carnitas nachos. Also got the watermelon horchata (which was to die for!).
The quesadilla looked and tasted homemade. I honestly wasn't too impressed with the nachos. They put quest on top and I prefer melted Mexican cheese. Also the meat was too thin and a bit charred. My dad got the shrimp and chicken fajitas which looked bomb!
The great service and clean facility are part of what draw me back for another visit. Next time I'll probably try a burrito. -

I'm bumping this place up to three stars though I have to say it is pretty disappointing that they "close" at 10 and if you try to call in a phone order within those last 30 minutes, you'll oftentimes be told "sorry, we're closed." I'm all for not allowing dine-in orders in the last 30 min before closing because it makes closing easier when all you have to do is charge someone and see them out. However denying all orders altogether just doesn't make sense to me because at that point, the restaurant may as well change opening hours until 9:30.

I has been a long time since I ate at a Mexican establishment that gave me heartburn the rest of the day.
We got a wet burrito and carne asada fries and this food was tasteless and nasty. Even the salsa was just meh.
I would rather eat one day old Del Taco than ever eat any food from this place again.
Stay away and choose a fast food establishment rather than this place.
This place makes the hot food at 7-11 gourmet cuisine compared to the food My Taco is serving.
If I could give it 2 negative stars I would.
